Who we are
Tiko Tales makes personalised picture books for children. Questions or requests: hello@tikotales.com.
What we collect
Your email, your WhatsApp number if you give it, and your child's first name, age, two interests, story language and family dialect. We also note which ad or link brought you here. We never ask for photos, surnames or recordings of children.
Why
To make your child's stories, send them to you, and talk to you about them. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who helps us
OpenRouter (story text), fal (pictures and narration, using ElevenLabs voices), Vercel (website and private book storage in Frankfurt), Neon (sign-up database, hosted in the USA), Resend (email) and Creem (payments, as merchant of record). The AI services receive only what a story needs: first name, age, interests and the story text. Picture requests never include your child's name.
Transfers
Some providers are outside the EU (for example the sign-up database in the USA). We only use providers that offer standard contractual safeguards for EU data.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, and no longer than 12 months after your last story.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@tikotales.com and we'll do it. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
